We exist in an almost endless expanse of time and space. Patterns of change, destruction, renewal, evolution, life and death are written into the geology and archaeology of our planet. We are part of these processes and they will continue into the distant future whether our species is around to see them or not. Science is suggesting that they apply equally to other parts of our universe. My artistic practice draws inspiration from this apparently unavoidable reality. My landscapes are imaginary speculations in unknown locations. Ambiguous structures and forms are used. I’m considering marks, remains, beliefs, cultures, and lives all laid down and lost in rocks, ruins and broken artefacts. Take a look at my work and consider my response.
